Yes, notes and letters are absolutely best for a personal touch. It’s really for an audience of one. While there’s something very intimate about it, there’s also a fleeting nature to it. I tend to hang on to cards my wife gives me, though I love living in our moment now more.

I am generally talking above about writing you want to reach any kind of audience. We need to lose some of the romance if it is keeping us or slowing us down from real writing.
