part of a poem series by Ernio Hernandez

She breathes.

From morning to morrow
through mourning and sorrow
She leaps mountains with every step

With strength that is bridled
Her intelligence is sidled
for man cannot reach her depth

Oh brave complex master
Your world moves much faster
than most of those that are around you

Come home to me lover
when day’s at last over
and let my mere arms surround you

I belong to you
you will never be mine
Our hearts beat as two
though they both align

We share this time and space
but your sublime grace

be, in one word,
divine
